This entire stupid story was driven by our feckless media. A bunch of people swooned over Oprah's speech and in the heat of the moment fantasized about her running for president. By the next morning the vast majority of those people came back down to earth and put away that nutty idea. The media, by contrast, has been beating this dead horse of a story nonstop ever since then, because there is nothing they love more than horse race journalism, especially if it's shallow and superficial and involves celebrities. IOW their reaction to Oprah is an encapsulation and indictment of the MSM's entire 2016 election coverage- they learned NOTHING and are enthusiastically doing it again.
She's smart to pass. Between her media empire and her ability to donate much money for progressive causes, she's in a much better position to help free us from the reign of Donald the Terrible.
