The office fridge was a common thread in those org-wide "cc: all" emails. Never mind that said fridge was 225 miles from my satellite office. I got my ass in a sling for replying to all, of course.
Once, long ago, at a job just out of college, huge company, I left a subway sandwich, still wrapped, in the lunchroom fridge. I came back to get it and there was one bite out of it.
For a short period of time, we had a homeless (by choice) woman working with us. She regularly "shopped" at the supermarket dumpster and kept the food in the shop fridge. I never used a community fridge for anything, ever again.
