….a union president ………. under the impression that workers were doing everything to ensure that the company stayed. “We thought we had met the mark. Clearly we didn’t,” said Amos.
As a former motorcyclist (it a young mans game people!), I can say without a doubt that Harley’s were crap ass motorcycles anyway. Bulky, inferior technology and design — basically teabaggers mobiles.
I ain't nobody's definition of a teabagger! 50 years in the saddle, and the best times were all on a Harley. I've had 3 of them, I'm just too old for it anymore.
Respect, Luv ya Biff, just never liked Harley's. Felt like driving a 1940's delivery van versus a Ferrari. I liked the nimble feel, agility and control of a sport bike. Jap or Euro. And this from a guy who still strives to buy Made in USA.
Good you quit though. I learned in the ER that one of the things we lose with aging is balance — as well as strength and reaction time — and I got spooked in my late 40's. Sold my last bike a few years ago. Can't ride a moto without full confidence and attention.
I get it. I rode cross country. Can't really do that with any level of comfort on a sport bike. I could get off the bike after an 800 mile day and still be able to walk to the hotel lobby and rent a room. I think the last time I tent camped was in 2000, in South Dakota.
“If my girls want to work there it’s a good place to work,” said Primeaux, adding that the plant closure has not affected his support for President Donald Trump.
Or if the answer to this problem (like the answer to so many) is MORE POWER, how about something like this? <img src="http://i64.tinypic.com/52zyux.jpg">
Actually, the only thing I considered was adding a sidecar. I'm not a trike kinda guy, so the only 3rd wheel I'd go for is a hack. That looks like a good option for others, though.
I've ridden road bikes since 1967. Used to be fearless. Now there's so much traffic in the cities, there's no way I'd ride there. Out on the open road, it's a different story. Still not what it was, though. I could or maybe should look at lighter machines? Beemer or Ducati, maybe.
I'ma take an AR15 to my Harley!
No, not really. But anyone want to buy it? I'm too old for it anymore.
Think it'd make a suitable first bike for a 68-year-old coot whose last two-wheeler said "Schwinn" on it?
And by the way, the story of |Schwinn's financialization and decline| is equally sad.
For all the same reasons I'm gonna sell it, no.

Sir, you are the mark.

I've heard of the Stockholm Syndrome, but Jesus…

The Big Lie to the unions and blue collar workers was the worst.

Total disregard what the RW has done to unions in the last 40+ years.
Why, yes I would, I certainly wood!

Options. Options is good.

I quit that long before I quit riding.
