Years ago I was required to attend a Cirque du Soleil performance in Las Vegas. At one point two large ropes were lowered to the empty stage, and a guy came out, grabbed one rope with each hand, wound each rope around each of his ankles, and walked up those ropes as effortlessly as you'd walk up a flight of stairs.
