I used to live in Irving, there are normally a few days of ice and snow a year. The locals are not very good at driving on slippery roads. One night I slowed down for a bridge that might be icy, the guy in front didn't until he was part way across, and then braked heavily, his truck managed to stay on the road but fishtailed over both lanes and the shoulders.
That was somebody else looking out for us.
