Hahahhahahaha….49 states and both houses of Congress are within reach…hahahaha….
And by the way, this is the worst-looking graph ever. Somebody needs an immediate shot of Tufte, or at least a lesson in how to use leaders instead of indistinguishable colors.
The GOPers did it with Goldwater, the Demoncrats w/McGovern, and both of them were reasonably decent human beings. A lot of GOPers believe Goldwater made Reagan possible; God knows what demon they think Trump will empower.
There're some interesting nuggets in the crosstabs. 29% of respondents identified themselves as Tea Party supporters. 15% of self-identified Liberals, and 20% of self-identified Democrats have "Never Heard Of" Bernie. These kinds of things make me wonder.
Also, just as an oddity, in the Hillz v Trump question, those who identified as government employees went for Trump, 51-39. Actually, the gummint folks went for X instead of Hillz for most values of X (except Scooter). I guess there are a lot of Republicans sucking on the government tit.
How can they not have heard of Bernie? Every Bernie supporter practically rolls down their window and screams "BERNIE 2016!!!!!" at every stop sign anymore. Or maybe I just know weird people.

I wish I shared your optimism.

pessimism has more upside
Everybody should read and follow Tufte. I am a Tufte fanboi. Seen him speak twice now. Have the Minard on my wall at work.
As Zippy said in the mains
The GOP reap what it did sow – teh stoopid and teh hatred.
BTW, anyone who was taking a class I taught who turned in a graph like the above would get a big fat F for presentation!
it's seriously awful

that military industrial complex isn't going to employ itself, pal.

The latter.
Oh, good, so that's not normal. I've actually seen it a few times around here and was legitimately confused by it.
I tried to use what little numbers I had to predict what Trump vs Clinton would look like and got 430-108, it's hilarious.
