God, I hope our species doesn't spread any farther than, uh say, Mars. I'd hope to see that in my lifetime; it would be awesome. But our species doesn't seem to evolve quickly enough to negate our imprudent improvements. We have no more than a simian-like understanding of how we destroy our own planet, our very (and only) existence.

I still like the theory that a super-smart dinosaur evolved, and pretty much immediately (in geological terms) caused a mass global extinction.
