Just posting this because this building is where a young Robert Zimmerman saw Buddy Holly three days before Holly and others died in that tragic plane crash. I'm so glad they didn't tear it down and that now some good people are trying to restore it.
Also: "Nelson French already has a dream for a first concert. "A long series of bands," he said, "leading up to the one and only Bob Dylan." A Plus Plus Plus Would attend!

I'd go to Duluth for that.
A lot of cities have these old armories, and they are often beautiful. Here's Portland OR:

It was for sale a coupla years ago when I was walking around town. St Louis isn't taking very good care of theirs.

Good news. This post prompted me to see what had become of San Francisco's armory. I'm not [disappointed.]
