“As far as the notion of having surveillance of neighborhoods where Muslims are present, I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance, which, by the way, the father of Sen. Cruz escaped for America, the land of the free,” he said.

    1. Maybe he could have SEAL Team 6 abduct that perjurer Clapper and take him to Guantánamo, and then on April 1 let him go. "April Fool!"

        1. Indiscriminate non-judicial killing is always more enjoyable when you joke about it with the victims.

Which reminds me: when I was growing up and my parents talked about "the war," they meant WW II of course, and along with the Depression it was one of the great events of their lives and the lives of everyone they knew. We got so tired of it we'd ask them, "Which war do you mean?" and joke that they suffered from "Depression Syndrome" because they constantly compared everything to what it was like 1929-39, when they were starting out in a world of 25 percent unemployment.

So let's say that was in 1965, twenty years after the end of their "the war." The Vietnam War can be said to have ended with the fall of Saigon, and April 30th will be the forty-first anniversary of that event.
