    1. wow, that's pretty harsh on Solyndra, isn't it? I mean, they went tits up, but at least they were working on making things better.

      I knew a guy who used to work at Solyndra. One big advantage they had was their "panels" had a low wind profile (because cylinders) and didn't need to be bolted down to rooftops like the flat cells, so they wouldn't rip off as easily in high winds.

  1. "clean coal" and the carbon sequestration it requires is a fucking joke. One thing it does illustrate, though, is the true cost of coal, cradle to grave.
