The last one that I know of, and the last Republican I'll ever (probably) vote for, was | Wayne Gilchrest. | The Congressional Rep. for my district, till he lost to a terrible Club for Growth candidate in the primaries, who ended up losing to a weak Dem in 2008.
An all star on Environmental issues, strong supporter of conservation, Nam vet, decorated Marine. The Republican Party left him. The horrible Club for Growth candidate beat out the Dem the next wave election and now we're Gerrymandered to suffering under Harris until he decides to leave for the Wingnut Welfare circuit.
