Sheriff says shooter is dead by self-inflicted wound, one student is wounded but expected to survive. A federal agent was 'accidentally' shot, possibly by another officer. Now officials are headed to local Sul Ross University on a call from someone threatening to 'blow up the college'.
"A 14-year-old female student shot another girl at Alpine High School in West Texas before turning the gun on herself, Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson said Thursday.
Dodson said the suspect died from a self-inflicted wound after shooting another female student, who ran into the street in front of the school and was picked up by bystanders and taken to Big Bend Medical Regional Center for treatment.
During a news conference Thursday afternoon, Dodson said the shooter was a 14-year-old freshman whose family moved to Alpine about six months ago. At this time, a motive remains unclear.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition with non-threatening injuries.
Additionally, a police officer was accidentally shot by another officer at the high school. "
Yes, although some in rural areas are hearing gunshots as dove season has started. Many of the right-thinking are still worried about Trump. And, most disturbing of all, the rise of 'gourmet' BBQ (Franklin Barbeque, La Barbeque – both in Austin) has in some joints raised the price of brisket to $20 a pound!
Fuck.

Being a new kid in high school at age 14 is already a sociological battleground. Readily available gunz'n'ammo just makes it a literal one.
Still, if my parents had moved me to TX, I'd be more inclined to shoot them.
