Lemme see if i can reconfigure the Chinese weather-control satellites from here. I'd hate to have to travel all the way up there again just to turn a few knobs.
Augh. Around here that white stuff would be salt and you'd be taking it in for a fast trade-in at your local Supercar Dealership. After being washed and detailed, of course.
They're OEM for my model Shelby. 18", to make room for the yuuge brakes.
I spent a lot of time at the factory and museum while my car was being built. It has since moved from the speedway to just off the strip near the airport. I don't go there anymore.
On edit: I forgot to say that the star of the museum [got sold.] Dumb af, ya axe me.
It's true that the new muscle cars are better in every concevable way from the '60's models, but… wooooo:
The difference being, those were out of my reach then, and are [way] the hell out of my range now! My absolute favorites are the 65-6 models, which are even more stratospheric.
That's a beaut. When I was in Hawaii my rental car was that. Not that I asked for it specifically, I just clicked on whatever what cheapest and this is what they happened to give me. It was the best thing ever, flying down the highway, that turquoise water off to my right, playing my Hawaii mix tape and the roof down.
It was like that here at the desert fortress yesterday. I was out in it, fixing a water leak that was a different water leak than the one I had fixed the day before. I hate this place.

Radar shows a light green splotch over PHX. Nothing hitting the ground in the central city. I do love how wunderground always, always shows the Snow Depth.
Our end of Sept heat wave (briefly hit 94F here) ended yesterday, by 8PM we were socked in again. I expect Blue to show up and help with the fog harvest.
BTW, listening to a SciFri podcast yesterday, guy talking about how the fog brings in more nitrogen to the redwoods (and everything else) and they can follow history of droughts and such by the isotopic signature in the tree rings of what water it was able to use (fog or rain). One of these days I hope I'll have $70k to blow on a cavity ringdown infrared spectrometer to follow hydrogen and oxygen isotope signatures in water vapor. Those were fun to play with.
I hear that the TSA uses a cavity ringdown infrared spectrometer now so you don't have to go into that little back room to take your pants off anymore.
(On my last return flight from BWI, after seven other incident-free flights in a three week period, an inexperienced TSA screener balked at my e-cig and i received the full bomb squad treatment, Pants Room and all)
I ask for a pat down every time I possibly can. Fuck their millimeter wave/backscatter x ray shit. Enough is enough. Plus, I like to throw in an "Ohhh…" when they check my waistline.
| Check out #UMES, | for some really wet, really pissed off people.
T-storms and lightning and 0.85" rain here last night, and hunkered down for the next wave of CO2 driven deluge.
|HAHAHAHA | *sobs*
You guys said you needed some rain, right? I hope you are on elevated ground.
The Keystone XL folks are squandering a golden opportunity to build a water pipeline from the sky above Maryland to the desert SW.
I've got a great spot in my yard for their primary pumping station.
<img src="http://www.lindaethier.com/publicart/publicart-art/rainfunnel01.jpg">
Is that one of those HAARP booster stations?
1) Yes.
2) Not this fast.
3) Uh, no. *grumbles*

I'd really appreciate it, thanks. I know there's not a lot of room in that X-37B, so I hope you won't have to go up again.
You'd think the Chinese would have fixed their Typhoon problem by now but, no, they'd rather sit around pranking us.
Don't think of it as such a chore. Enjoy the trip and the view. It's all about process, really.
I dunno…Agenda 21 HQ gets fussy if there are too many "frivolous" trips to space. It's a paperwork headache.
There is that. I remember that time my Deputy Associate Acting Director gave me shit for not having the right cover sheet on my TPS report.
|This came up my YTube yesterday . Guys down the road from you still playing Le Hawt Jass

TEXT VERSION:
"FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU…"
Looks like Punxsutawney is going to get 3 inches of rain. Phil will be getting wet in his burrow.
Well he should have thought of that, shouldn't he?
He's gonna be pissed off when he figures it out. I hope he doesn't drive.

I really shouldn't have done this, but it had closed in behind me as bad or worse than the road ahead. This was in a car you can't slide a pack of smokes under:
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v478/jamest52/flood1_zps03cf9ba4.jpg"</img>
FULL SPEED AHEAD!!
Right, drive fast enough you'll get into the ground effect and the air cushion will skim the car over the flood area.
In theory.
Yeah, about that:

(sweet ride, btw. I like the hood pins.)
Better day:

Beauty! Are those OEM wheels or custom?
I bet that Shelby museum is awesome.

Marble countertops.
"can't slide a pack of smokes under"…Can you swing a cat in it?
Sure, it's a ragtop!
We have another system south of us kicking off showers/storms, but it's also getting up to 90 °

"Not Available"? What is wunderground trying to hide from the public?

Can't help, thumb hurts.
Fine. Andie and I will just have to go it without you.

Don't have to — but it's still an option, right?

Yes, but you have to be wearing pants.
BWI-Marshall is considered the "Birthplace of the TSA", or at least the| news said so today. |
That's quite an honor. You must be so proud.
There's no skirting around the Pants Room at BWI, I'll have you know!
