I'm still in a bit of an optimistic mood (a bit) that this administration will somewhat self destruct, but given the large amount of our countrymen that support him and the not-so-great state of the dems at the moment, I'm also steeling myself for a long time in the wilderness.
Someone like Romney in the cabinet might be able to steer their ship through the Trumpian mine fields. I don't see Trump doing a typical President's workload. Someone on NPR noted that his business structures usually had several people with differing approaches who might fight amongst themselves but allow Trump to choose the ideas he liked,
Romney is a cut way above this clown. Even when Romney had to pander to the middle of this country he was civil. Even McCain was civil. Romney's image will go way up in my book if he avoids this shitstorm.
It's also easy to imagine Romney putting up with only one or two Trumpian outbursts of id and then saying, "I'm sorry, Mr President, I was right the first time and you, sir, are indeed a fraud and a con man with whom I can no longer associate myself."
I may be just being my usual cynical self, but I think drumpf has a special humiliation in store for Romney. He never forgets, and he destroys his enemies.
