Okay, Lee wasn't a Nazi. But he had no problem whatsoever betraying the nation (which trained him as a soldier at West Point) to fight for white supremacy.

Haven't got to Reconstruction yet, but am beginning to believe the Grant-was-a-corrupt-drunk, carpetbaggers-were-all-monsters version of Reconstruction that I learned in school (in fucking Illinois, ferchrissakes) was another Lost Cause myth.
