Yeah, not a high point in either singer's career. Saw the movie "Walk the Line" on an airplane somewhere and was reminded how many great songs Johnny Cash wrote.
There's a neat moment in the movie where June and Johnny are in the wings (Ryman?) waiting to go on, and Jerry Lee Lewis is out on stage, playing his crazed rockabilly piano with his feet, the crowd is screaming, girls are rushing the stage, and Lewis comes off the stage and says to them, "Okay, it's your turn." And you can see them thinking "This is what they mean by 'a hard act to follow'."
