    1. "The comments were of course mature, and nothing to do with noting quite how much like a penis they look like."

Biologists, as we know, are notable for their sober, humorless aspect.

          1. Good news: full time caretaker.

            That's also the bad news.

    1. Very cool. Also actually prompted a memory from school days.
Guy named Nagel wrote a short book called The Possibility of Altruism
Part of which maintains that the ability to plan for a future self is how we can also
consider the lives of others. Not sure if that would apply to not-so–group oriented species .

  1. Can you can see a problem with this line of thought?

Sinema: I believe the Senate has a responsibility to put politocs aside
and fully consider, debate, and reach compromise on legislative issues
    that will affect all Americans.

        1. The county just north of me is finished with 1A and 1B, now open to 50+. Local ID required, so no vax tourism allowed.

          1. One exciting dy visiting Sis we watched Exotic Animal Vet on NatGeo I think.
Kid's chameleon had prolapsed hemipeen. ……………….SNIP!

"Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has issued an executive order ending occupancy limits on businesses, signaling a transition into a new phase of COVID-19 mitigation in the state."

      1. Just now getting to him and Rep. Andy Biggs.

eta: May need a break. Am clenching jaw and grinding my teeth .

        1. One of my all-time faves, to be deployed judiciously, but amply justified here:

A most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise breaker, the owner of no one good quality.

A bill to allow anyone 18 or over to have a loaded gun in their car on school grounds just passed #AZ House on a party line vote. Allowing 18 year olds to have a loaded gun in their car at school is just horribly dangerous.

      It's been a bad week .

As a Latina woman and a feminist, @kyrstensinema and her spokesperson can both go F themselves.

      1. "Asshole' does rhyme with 'asshole'.
Also what I called her on the twitter.

[ also don't have a tub large enough to soak the charcoal grate ]

        1. The get some spray Naval Jelly, or dilute the thick stuff. The spray/paint the grate. Scrub with toothbrush or disposable carbon steel wire bush (wear something to protect your face & rubber gloves). Flip it over & repeat. Rinse well with a hose.

          1. Imma suggest they just get a new BBQ when the grate falls apart.
It's one of those big barrel motherfuckers.

          2. I've used expanded steel plate in place of a grate before. It warps in high heat situations, but if it can be tack welded to a framework, it's good.
