  1. What I would like to have heard in a political ad from a Dem standing for state office: "My opponent says I want to expand Obamacare. Since it is a federal law and coverage is available to anyone, it can't be expanded on a state level. The law does allow an expansion of Medicaid and offers some additional funding, something the Republicans are against because they don't want to spend money helping the less-fortunate. If elected I will be happy to vote for expanding Medicaid."

  2. I think that Sanders would have been tarred and feathered by the GOP hate machine just as much as Clinton was, only in a different way. Playing the blame game is easy when you're Monday morning quarterbacking. I do wonder what would have happened if she had chosen him as a running mate, rather than Kaine. Truth is, I didn't think it was the least bit politically possible at the time, but as a mental exercise, it's an interesting hypothetical to ponder.
